Users of the new library will discover an enormous collection of wide-ranging books, which will fulfil even the most specialist requirements. The IT savvy users will be able to enjoy using an extensive range of electronic publications, databases, journals and multi-media.

Through a unique combination of library, heritage and customer services, the Library and History Centre will inspire people to try new experiences and to develop new skills. Visitors will be encouraged to use the variety of services on offer in the building which will be clearly visible through the windows looking out onto work spaces.
